A virus (Latin, poison) is a microscopic particle that can infect the cells of a biological organism. At the most basic level, viruses consist of genetic material contained within a protective protein shell called a capsid; the existence of both genetic material and protein distinguishes them from other virus-like particles such as prions and viroids.

They infect a wide variety of organisms: both eukaryotes (animals, fungi and plants) and prokaryotes (bacteria). A virus that infects bacteria is known as a bacteriophage, often shortened to phage. The study of viruses is known as virology. A virologist studies viruses.

Viruses are the most dangerous threat to world health today, and colostrum is one of the few substances that can stop them from progressing in the body. Colds, flu, herpes and AIDS are caused by viruses, and there is no known cure for any of them yet. Dr Asimov,, author of hundreds of science and science fiction books, had this to say some yeas ago at The World Congress on the Virus in San Diego: “It is still possible for viruses to kill millions, ten of millions, maybe hundreds of millions every year.” Viruses mutate, so it is almost impossible to develop a drug that can also control the new forms a virus may take.

In the last few years, colostrum and a number of its individual components have been seriously studied for their effects against a variety of viral diseases. As with the bacteria pathogens, colostrum’s ability to help with viral infections is more likely due to immune support and the combination of substances than to any specific antibody reaction.

Colostrum anti-viral properties include:

-Lactoferrin, an iron binding protein with antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is currently being studied for its effects against the HIV virus, herpes, and even cancer.

- Cytokines, which regulate the intensity of the immune response. They are known to boost the production of antibodies important in fighting viral infections.

- Leukocytes, the white blood cells that engulf invading organisms, including viruses.

Antibiotics, the so-called miracle drugs used to combat so many bacteria illnesses, can’t harm a single known virus. Most virus-caused diseases can only be treated for their symptoms. How does our body’s natural immune system kill them? We find that antibodies made from immunoglobulins, can destroy them. I want to point out that only antibodies, tailor-made to match any virus, can keep up with the viruses’ tendency to mutate.

FYI Colostrum vs AIDS

The best example of immunodeficiency is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, or AIDS. Individuals with AIDS have such a suppressed immune response that a cold or flu can be devastating. What often happens with AIDs patients is that they are left vulnerable to viral and bacterial infections that settle in the bowel, thereby causing diarrhea. A 1992 study with immune-deficient patients experiencing chronic diarrhea due to viral infections showed that 72 percent experienced stool normalization after 10 days of treatment with concentrated bovine colostral immunoglobulins. Other studies have shown similar results. For people suffering from immune suppression and immunodeficient patients, colostrum can be very helpful, perhaps even lifesaving.

Freeware Antivirus Software

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Avira Antivir Personal Edition is becoming more and more popular and is being recommended by either corporate or home users. This is because aside from being absolutely free for download and personal use, Avira Antivir is also powerful and functional enough to go toe to toe with expensive commercial PC Security suites. Avira is also fast and easy to install; when it comes to installing the program, the computer does not need to be restarted and you do not need to put in so much personal information.

The main features of the Avira AntiVir Personal Edition are listed below in brief:

1. Real-time protection: This means that when there is an incoming threat the program will immediately deal with it and notify you about it. Upon notification, you will have the option to block, quarantine or even allow the process. You an also configure Avira to make the choice automatically for you. The software effectively guards the computer against computer viruses, worms and Trojan horses.

2. On-demand Scanner: It lets you scan a file before opening it especially when it comes to compressed files. All you need to do is right-click on the file then choose the option to scan the file. This is very effective against hidden Trojans or viruses that are put inside compressed archives and set to run upon extraction.

3. Auto-Updater: This feature will immediately check for updates applicabl

e to the software using a predetermined schedule. It will also notify the user about the new updates. The updates help in protecting the computer from newly discovered threats. It has been said that there are several updates for VDF files in a day to make sure that the application detects all possible threats at the soonest possible time.

4. Quarantine for detected viruses and malicious files: If there are viruses or malicious files that were not removed or cleaned it will be placed in a quarantine area. If there are already updates that will allow Avira to heal or clean the file then it will perform the necessary removal or cleaning. Quarantined files are also recorded into the database to help gather more information about unknown threats, which allow Avira to safeguard against them in the future.

5. Scheduler: The user can set the time when the software will perform the scan automatically. This is very helpful for people who leave the computer on all the time and have no time to manually perform a system scan regularly

6. Email Scanner: The software will be able to scan opened emails and emails attachments, which is one of the main avenues for Trojan, virus and spyware infections. You don’t have to worry about receiving attachments anymore because Avira will protect you from malware masquerading as zipfiles, scripts and even executables.

Tamiflu for Bird Flu

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Nature is a fanciful god. Sometimes it donates its entire fortunate thing to mankind and sometime it shows its harshest face. Since times immemorial man has been illuminating nature and converting it according to his personal necessities. There are proofs that every time the humans tries to change the natural cycle, devastation occur which are also the warning from the nature’s side. Every time when trouble occurs, it is because of human’s incorrect actions. But the humans are the only species on this earth that knows how to use their uppermost part of the body i.e. the brain. It is only because of brain that humans courageously faces the consequences and tries to find a solution to the existing problem. This time another creation of god i.e. chickens are creating problems for humans by spreading the disease called bird flu. As per latest information bird flu has taken the lives of almost 50 people in Southeast Asia and resulted in the deaths of millions of poultry. The virus can be a severe threat if it develops the capability of trouble-free diffusion from one person to another. Avian influenza viruses infect wild bird populations, particularly water birds, typically without causing symptoms. The virus spreads through bird feces and contaminated water or dust. When avian influenza spreads to poultry or other birds, it can cause more severe disease. Outbreaks of avian influenza have been recognized in poultry flocks in most countries of the world for many years. In February 2005, researchers in Vietnam reported human cases of bird flu in which the virus infected the brain and digestive tract of two children. Both ultimately died after a few days of struggle. Hence, this proves that the bird flu may start like any other flu but more often than not is fatal.

Tamiflu is the only effective medicine to fight against bird flu. In the past one year time, it has emerged as one of the most effective drugs against bird flu. More and more doctors in the effected parts of the world are writing prescriptions for Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate), an antiviral medication, for treating flu caused by influenza virus. Tamiflu attacks the influenza virus and stops it from spreading inside your body. You should contact your doctor and begin treatment within 48 hours from the onset of flu symptoms.
Tamiflu has been found to be most effective in treating avian influenza patients as it attacks and destroys the influenza virus rather than just masking the symptoms.

Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) is an antiviral drug marketed by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche. It belongs to a group of drugs called neuraminidase inhibitors and can shorten the duration and lessen the severity of the type a and b strains of the flu, as well as bird flu. Each 75-milligram capsule contains the active chemical oseltamivir, as well as several inactive ingredients. Scientists synthesize oseltamivir from shikimic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in plants like Chinese star anise, ginkgo, spruce, pine and fir trees. Tamiflu targets a protein called neuraminidase that lives on the flu virus cells. This protein helps the flu virus break through the cell walls so it can move on to other cells and replicate itself. Tamiflu inhibits the neuraminidase protein, so that the virus can’t leave the cell to infect other cells. Eventually, the virus dies. Tamiflu can’t stop the flu entirely. Yet, studies have shown that if it is taken within 48 hours of showing symptoms, it can shorten the duration of the flu (strains A and B). Patients with the flu who took it felt better 30 percent (or 1.3 days) faster than people who didn’t take it. The drug also can help protect you from getting the flu if you’re exposed to someone who has it. But Tamiflu can’t prevent the spread of the disease, and it won’t stop illnesses (like the common cold) that resemble the flu.

For the treatment of flu, Tamiflu should be taken twice daily (once in the morning and once in the evening) for five days. Tamiflu can be taken with or without food. As with many medicines, if taken with a light snack, milk, or a meal, the potential for stomach upset may be reduced. One must complete the entire treatment of ten doses, even if he/she is feeling better. Never share Tamiflu with anyone, even if they have the same symptoms. It is important that you begin treatment with Tamiflu as soon as possible or from the first appearance of flu symptoms. If you forget to take your medicine at any time, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it is near the next dose (within 2 hours). You can continue to take Tamiflu at the usual times. You do not need to take a double-dose. If you have missed several doses, inform your doctor and follow the advice given to you. If you develop an allergic reaction or a severe rash while taking Tamiflu, contact your healthcare professional immediately. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding while taking Tamiflu, talk to your doctor before taking this medication. Tamiflu is normally not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing, as the effects on the unborn child or nursing infant are unknown.

Tamiflu is generally safe for adults and children ages one and up. The most common side effects are nausea and vomiting, but you can help prevent them by taking the drug with food. Other, less common side effects are bronchitis, insomnia, skin rashes and vertigo.

There is no real cheap Tamiflu available online as this is a very unique product in marketplace. However, there are only a handful of online pharmacies that seem to be managing the demand so that they don’t have a backlog of orders. So it’s a request to buy Tamiflu only from a genuine online pharmacy.

In recent years, the specter of the Avian Bird Flu has been hanging over mankind like a sharp sword. ‘Experts’ have repeatedly stepped to a news microphone to warn that human deaths could reach into the hundreds of millions worldwide – a death carried by birds in their global migratory patterns. A TV show entitled “Fatal Contact” even aired, depicting so many fatalities that their bodies were carried away in dump trucks. When this show aired back in May of 2006, I was actually on a 14 city tour of America entitled: ‘Avian Flu: Killer of Millions?’. This teaching is an updated version of that presentation. This teaching covers so much more than Avian Flu and can be used as an ‘icebreaking’ education tool for both saved and unsaved who may not understand these issues. I endeavored to present the big picture with this presentation & point people to our only hope for any calamity: Jesus Christ. Recently I have gotten several confirmations that the ‘Avian Flu Pandemic’ card is soon to be played, and in reality it is long overdue. Topics will include: Proof the Illuminati telegraphs their punches prior to cataclysmic events, Why Avian Flu is the perfect vehicle for world depopulation, What the globalist elite are planning for Americans, Why the Avian Flu could be a repeat of the Spanish Flu of 1918 that killed millions!, Vaccinations and injectable microchips regarding the Avian Flu, potential kill rates, food shortages, forced vaccinations, project bioshield, and quarantines. I will also extensively cover proactive steps you can take to protect your families and yourself. For a complete listing of the recommendations I made on this presentation go to: media.sermonaudio.com Mild Silver Protein Website is at: www.dr-johnson.com The previous DVD of this presentation is available at cuttingedge.org

Computer Viruses: Overview

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Computers have incredible capabilities. They can accomplish great tasks, communicate clearly, make things move and think beyond human measure. Computers have become like humans in nearly every conceivable manner, so it’s no surprise that computers can also get sick.

The computer revolution first began picking up speed in the late 1980s. Since then, it has evolved to be a vital element in our society, our corporate and our personal lives. Computers have become part and parcel to virtually everything we do day in, and day out. But with all good comes a little bad. Some users have maliciously created computer viruses that have grave effects. The range of computer viruses existing in our modern networks has a huge prominence in our lives, because of all the ways we depend on computers. Despite our need for dependable computers, some people have nothing better to do but exercise their computer knowledge in a destructive way, creating computer viruses.

The first computer virus, called “The Brain”, was created in 1986. The Brain is a boot-sector virus, which occupies unused space on the disk to eliminate further use of memory space. After it was created, The Brain quickly spread worldwide in 1987. The Brain virus was considered first to use stealth techniques, making the virus difficult to detect.

On November 1, 1987 another virus appeared. The Lehigh virus was named after Lehigh University, the place where this particular virus was first discovered. One Friday the thirteenth, in December of that same year, the Jerusalem virus was discovered at Hebrew University. This virus has also gone by the names “ArabStar”, “Friday the 13th” and the “Black Window”. This is one of the oldest and best-known computer viruses in the world.

Two more viruses surfaced in 1988: the Stone, which was the first bootstrap virus, and the Internet Worm. The Internet Worm caused mayhem in the corporate world as it crossed the United States overnight through a series of computer networks. Then in 1989, the Dark Avenger was introduced. This was a fast-infector that possessed the capability to infect new files despite the presence of anti-virus software. The Dark Avenger computer virus was designed to damage a system slowly. The virus would go unnoticed at first, and damaged files would not be backed up. Slowly it would consume more and more of your computer until it had created permanent damage.

Computer manufacturers and software engineers began the public war against computer viruses around 1990. Corporations began to respond to growing public concern and the number of anti-virus products began to rise. The threat of computer viruses was finally taken seriously. McAfee, IBM, Digital Dispatch and Iris all introduced their anti-virus products and software in 1990. Despite their efforts, computer viruses grew faster, stronger and sneakier. Symantec Norton anti-virus was introduced was introduced in 1991.

The introduction of Windows 95 brought both relief and discomfort to anti-virus companies when it was released in 1995. At that time, most common computer viruses were still boot viruses that worked on DOS, but couldn’t replicate on Windows 95. Then micro viruses were discovered in late 1995. These computer viruses performed in the MS-Word environment, rather than DOS. Again, the anti-virus industry faced challenges to fight against these new batches of viruses. With the introduction and growing popularity of the Internet in the late 1990s, viruses began to spread at a much faster rate.

Throughout 1998 there was no lessening of computer virus attacks MS Office, MS Windows, MS Office and network applications. New viruses continued to appear, and computers and advanced network-to-do applications continued to be affected. In 1999, another virus appeared, infecting computers using Microsoft Word. This computer virus may have been passed on via MS Outlook, or through Outlook Express e-mail programs.

The “Loveletter” virus, also known as “Love Bug” and the “I Love You” virus, is believed to have struck one in five PCs worldwide, making it the most widespread and the most costly computer virus the world had ever seen. The “I Love You Virus” created panic and discord around the globe. The virus was transferred by e-mail. When the receiver opened the attachment, the virus was automatically sent to everyone in the user’s address book. The “I Love You” computer virus spread at a dizzying rate of speed.

As long as we continue to use the Internet and share computer files, we are at risk of catching computer viruses. Even today, more and more viruses are still being discovered, leading to big problems for all users, and creating ongoing dilemmas for the creators of anti-virus programs.

Like people, getting sick is an unfortunate fact of life for computers. Using up-to-date anti-virus software is a sort of preventative medicine, helping to keep computers healthy and computer viruses at bay.

How Safe is your Computer – you be the Judge

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Is your computer safe from a virus? You might say yes, but do you know that for sure. If you do not have anti virus protection installed you are leaving yourself susceptible to a computer virus. Trust me you do not want a virus on your computer. Depending on the virus it could cause some real damage to every aspect of your computer. A really harmful virus could completely disable your computer, causing the need for a new hard drive or even motherboard.

Your computer can become infected with a virus in a variety of different ways. Such as via email, downloads, or even hackers. Just visiting a certain website could give you a virus, if they have downloads that are unseen by the eyes. The only way to protect yourself from a potential harmful and costly computer virus is to install anti virus protection. This protection comes in the form of antivirus software.

This is the only way to protect your computer from being infected with a virus. What is great about some of this protection is that, thanks to the internet, you can find free antivirus software. Of course, not all anti virus scans are free, but great majorities of them are.

You may think that free antivirus software has only one function, to find and rid your computer of viruses. While this is one of their functions, in most cases it is not the only one. Many of the latest antivirus software come with many other features that can help protect your computer while you are using it. For example, not only will some find and eliminate the viruses already on your computer, but it will also monitor your computer from that point on blocking any viruses that are coming in. Most will scan your downloads and email to ensure your computer remains safe and virus-free.

Most of the free antivirus software also scans and eliminates instances of annoying adware and spyware. Both of these work to slow your computer down and make your time on the computer a whole lot less enjoyable with unwanted popups and advertisements. Your best defense from a virus is good, solid, and reputable antivirus software.

You can find software and anti virus scans all over the internet. It is wise to choose your anti virus protection based on recommendations from other users, ease of use, price, as well as reputation. By doing so you will protect yourself from a computer virus and enjoy safety and peace of mind during your internet travels.

Tips For Those Who Are About to be Terminated or Have Just Been Terminated 1. If your employer has made the decision to terminate you, you may suddenly be escorted from the building. If you believe you are about to be terminated, be sure to sanitize your workspace. For example, delete your personal email from the computer and remove your personal pictures, calendars, letters, etc. from your desk. If you have files, employee handbooks, commendations, etc. that belong to you, start taking them home now. 2. Do not delete anything from your computer or remove anything from the workplace that does not belong to you. Do not access records that you are not authorized to access. Those acts alone may be cause for discharge, and any claim you may have against your employer may be lost. You may want to seek advice from an attorney as to whether certain documents belong to you before removing them. 3. If you are thinking about quitting your job because you are about to be terminated, consider consulting an attorney first. Any claim you may have against your employer for wages may be lost or diminished if you quit. 4. Remember that Illinois is an employment at-will state, which means that your employer may terminate you for any reason at all, other than an illegal reason. There is no law against unfairness. 5. Even if your employer has treated you harshly, do not do or say anything that could be construed as cause for discharge. If your employer engages in rude or hostile behavior towards you, do not say or do anything that you would not want a judge or jury to hear about. 6. If you believe you have been the victim of discrimination or some other type of illegal conduct on the part of your employer or a co-worker, remember that statutes of limitations apply, which means that claims must be filed within a specified period of time or they will not be actionable. For example, to file a charge of discrimination with a City, County or State agency, you must file within 180 days from the time you knew or should have known that you were discriminated or retaliated against. In Illinois, the limitations period for filing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is 300 days. 7. If you believe that you are the victim of illegal conduct on the part of your employer, contact your family attorney immediately and ask him/her to refer you to an employment lawyer. Alternatively, contact one of the bar associations and ask to be referred to an employment lawyer. Ask whether the bar association screens attorneys on its specialty referral panels and how long an attorney must practice employment law to be on that panel. 8. During the time you are employed and for the first year after you leave an employer, you are entitled to a copy of your personnel records within seven days of your employer’s receipt of your written request. If your employer refuses to comply with your request, report it to the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL). 9. If your employer tells you that you will be terminated if you do not resign, most likely you will be entitled to unemployment compensation unless you have engaged in some type of misconduct. 10. Remember that you cannot control what others do, but you can control what you do. That means that you can exercise some control over how you feel about your termination. If you were terminated even though you did a good job for your employer, remind yourself daily that employees are often terminated for reasons that have nothing to do with their abilities, performance, or worth.
