Working on the Internet provides Internet marketers with the opportunity to make a living in the comfort of their own home.
For more detail go to: www.activities-little-fingers.com. Computer Security includes threats such as viruses, identity theft, and spy ware, aware to name but a few. The latest statistics show that at least over 900 new viruses are created each month which makes keeping track of them really quite difficult. This article would cover three (3) subtopics namely: The Internet, Spy ware and Antivirus.

Internet

If you use your computer on the internet, you need (at minimum) anti virus software. The problem of computer security is the number one problem in today’s networks and Internet engineering. As hackers use different means to crack the security systems it often happens to be impossible to resist and computer security system fail.

Computer Security on the internet is vital for home and business use as there are increasingly hostile environments when users surf the net. It is very important for users to be educated on the dangers they may face while on the internet. Your computer connected to the internet is similar to your house in many ways. Users search on the internet for free computer security software which they dump into their computers and hope for the best.

The Internet is a wonderful place. Anyone with an Internet connection can stay in touch with family and friends via email. Computer security is growing rapidly by the minute and the only one who has control over their files of information is the user. It is strongly suggested that users equip their pc with an armed fire wall for vital protection.

An advice is to use Microsoft Windows Update to keep your Operating System and Internet Explorer patched. Other advice could be to only conduct Internet transactions that have secured processing. for more detail go to:www.fire-itup.comEven if you have a computer connected to the Internet only to play the latest games or to send email to friends and family, your computer could be a target.

Although confidentiality, integrity and authenticity are the most important things when it comes to computer security in general, for everyday internet users, privacy is the most important one, because many people think that they have nothing to hide or the information they give doesn’t seem sensitive when they register with an internet service/site.

Spy ware

An avenue for Spy ware to infect your machine is through popular Peer-to-Peer File sharing software such as Kazan. Extreme spy ware like Root kits and other advanced spy ware have fundamentally changed the playing field in today’s computer security.

While it may seem to be common sense, many of the most widely-spread attacks have involved spy ware and email attachment worms. Often these packages come as “suites” including a firewall and Spy ware scanner. They scan and destroy spy ware as it’s found in the user’s computer.

Regardless of the type of spy ware, it can slow your computer to a crawl and needs to be removed from your computer. Spy ware occurs when certain websites run programs in the back ground of your computer while gleaning information from it. There is now a bill in the US Congress to make Spy ware illegal.

You Do not Have to Pay for Anti-virus Protection

Friday, February 26th, 2010

UnlimitedTechSupporthttp://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/unlimitedtechsupportEducationInvisus, Computer, anti, virus, antivirus, spyware, safety, identity, theft, protection, lifelock, AVG, Kapersky, Norton, mcafee, Credit, Monitoring, Ann, Sieg, Mike, Dillard, Dennis, Karganilla, John, PiroInvisus Direct (Vol 4) Computer Security AntiVirus Spyware & Whole Identity Theft Protection

When we begin our computer journey and jump aboard the internet we are told we need to buy anti-virus security software. Often a trial program will be packaged with your new computer that is set to expire a short time later. Then the program will ask for payment to keep you protected. The most common two programs that come preinstalled on new computers are: Norton and McAfee. While both of these programs are well respected by many users they are also quite pricey.

There is no doubt that you need antivirus software on your computer, but there are some effective products out there completely free that compare to those high priced programs. Yes, you read that right. Free antivirus software products that are just as superior as the expensive well known brands.

As the internet evolves and so will the types of threats. There are now more problems and ways to infect your computer than ever. This is a trend likely to continue. Our job as an internet user is to become familiar with common threat types and keep our computer systems protected from them.

There are many types of security issues. These problems can come in many flavors and change rapidly so including them in this editorial would prove pointless. In a short time from now the threats could be much different than they are today. Trying to keep up with those details would be a full time job. Not to worry, we do not need to be security experts to stay safe.

There are some common wide based categories that most threats fall under. Knowing this we can learn how to protect ourselves from each category rather than each threat individually. The most common areas that need to be addresses are as follows:

Microsoft vulnerabilities

These are exploits to the code inside your Windows, IE browser and Office products. The way to keep these risks to a minimum is by keeping your Windows up to date using the Windows update service. I keep my Windows updates on automatic and they are downloaded and installed as released. This is free to Windows owners and can be found in your control panel.

Viruses

These come in many types. From worms to trojans they can cause huge problems on the users system. This is where free antivirus software can keep you protected. At the time of this writing, AVG, AVIRA and AVAST are three of the top place award winners for free antivirus software. I have used all three and settled with Avast as my protection software of choice. I also trust it enough to install it on the computers I assemble for clients.

Spyware and Malware

Items that fall into this category can vary from – chaotic as viruses or simple tracking cookies from an advertiser wanting to see where you came from or where you left to. These buggers can sneak in from website graphics and invisible code often with no warning at all. While Avast is one of the better anti-virus programs to also guard from spyware, it is not truly the software’s purpose.

Again there are free choices for spyware protection that work just as well as the high priced alternatives! One feature that is harder to get in the free spyware software is “real time protection”. I use Spyware Terminator which does offer real time protection and seems to be doing a great job on my Vista work machine. You can do a search for “free spyware protection” and look for review sites that evaluate several different programs available to choose from.

A frequent trick used by many *not so nice* software companies is to force a pop up that looks like a System Message announcing the user’s computer is infected by a virus. The box offers only one button, a link to remove the infection. This is actually a link that leads the clicker to a website that cleverly requests payment to solve the problem. Many times there is no virus other than the one asking you to pay to remove it!

With all these free protection tools available for personal use it is frustrating to see so many people who are lead to believe that they must pay for safety. We may not be able to stop viruses and other malicious codes on the internet but we can do our part to protect ourselves and thanks to a few great companies out there, we can do it for free.

Stages and Procedures Regarding Aids-related Lymphoma

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

AIDS-related lymphoma can be diagnosed by performing a serie of tests known as staging too. Much more, by doing these tests the patient can find out if cancer cells have spread within the body, affecting other organs as well. It is important to know that the tests may easily confirm the stage of the disease and in this way the physician can prescriebe the appropriate treatment. Moreover, AIDS-related lymphoma is usually diagnosed when the illness is already advanced.

To begin with, a first common procedure to find malignant tumor cells in the body is called PET scan (positron emission tomography scan). Firstly, this procedure involves the injection of radionuclide glucose into the vein in order to show in a picture made by the PET scanner where the glucose is being used in the body. So, by scanning the body, the malign tumor cells become brighter because they are more active and take up more sugar than other healthy cells.

Secondly, another well known procedure is CT scan also called computed tomography or computerisez axial tomography. CT scan is a procedure that makes a serie of pictures of the areas inside the body, showing a clear image of the organs and tissues. Moreover, a common procedure is Bone marrow biopsy which includes the removing of a small piece of bone marrow and bone from the hipbone or breatsbone in order to be examined under a microscope.

Beware of SCANNER.VAV-SCANNER.COM: Attack on Microsoft…

Furthermore, stages of AIDS-related lymphoma may include E which means that the cancer is found in an area or organ other than the lymph nodes or has spread to tissues beyond and S stands for spleen and means the cancer affected the spleen. In addition to this there are 4 stages which are used for AIDS-related that indicate the place where the cancer can be found, lymph nodes, organs other than the lymph nodes, near the diaphragm or spleen.

It is considered that people who suffer from Epstein-Barr virus or whose AIDS-related lymphona usually affects the bone marrow and in some cases may lead to complications, such as the spreading of cancer to the central nervous system.(CNS). Much more, CNS lymphoma which starts in other parts of the body is not considered primary as the CNS lymphoma that starts in the brain and spinal cord.

Anti Spyware Software

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Most times, the only way to remove spyware from your computer is to install spyware software, or anti spyware software.  This software will take care of that nasty spyware quickly.

Anti spyware software works a few different ways.  They can either do a scan of your system to see if there is presently any spyware installed, or the anti spyware program will actively protect your system from spyware that is attacking your computer presently.

The first type of protection, the scan, is used for detecting and removing the current spyware that is installed on your computer.  This is usually how anti spyware software works, and it is usually the most popular.  You can usually do a quick scan, or a smart scan, which will scan only some of the files in your computer which spyware is known to regularly infect and install.  The good thing about this is that the scan will find a lot of spyware, or most of the spyware fairly quickly.  The downside is that the scan is not going through all the files in your computer.  The other option is a full scan.  The full scan takes longer, but it will scan your entire computer and maximize its chances at finding all the spyware.  The anti virus software will run the scan in the background while you can still do work on your computer.

The other way the anti spyware software will protect your computer is through real time protection.  Now, some software may contain each type of protection, or a combination of the two.  Having both types is best.  This way you can have your computer actively protected against spyware attacks all the time.  A pop up window, a small one, will sometimes come up alerting you that a spyware attack has been blocked.  It happens maybe once a day with my program.

With the addition of new spyware, anti spyware programs have to become increasingly good at detecting and removing spyware to satisfy the user.  No one wants spyware on their machine, it steals your personal information and takes up bandwidth, ultimately slowing your connection and stealing your information.  Make sure your anti spyware software updates itself automatically to the latest spyware definitions so it can properly defend your computer against spyware.

The Best Free Virus Fix on Computer!

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

A review and test of mcafee against 11 zero day malwares!

It’s really annoying when you just can’t finish a task on time because of your PC’s very low performance. Then you’ve decided to try restarting it only to notice that the boot-up seems to take a lifetime! You might also want to take a second look on your files for some might be deleted. Some programs won’t run anymore, and sometimes, your hard disk drive is reformatted without your intention! Those are just a few headaches a virus infection gives you; not to mention the cost of having a repairman to help you out. Don’t worry too much, there’s a free virus fix on computers you can do.

A pc gets infected by viruses, ad ware, spy ware, keyloggers, Trojan horses and privacy invasions through the internet, from computers of the same network, removable media or even in e-mails. Virus can disguise as e-mail attachments that replicates itself by sending the same infected e-mail to the people in your address book. The viruses rapidly multiplies itself and consumes a big space in your computer’s memory causing it to slow down or worse, crash. It’s like germs that only aim to destroy your computer’s normal functionality. When caught to such stressful situation, here’s a free virus fix on computers you can try:

1) As soon as you see that your computer is acting weird or slowing down, you can choose to do system restore and use a previous date where there still has no abnormalities in your computer.

2) Remove all its connections to any network and the Internet to make sure that the virus won’t be able to spread towards other computers.

3) Get an anti-virus program. The top anti-virus downloads that are free virus fix on computers are Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus and Avast, both available and free of charge to home users. Then run a full system scan. After the scan, you might be prompted to restart the computer. Once you restart it, run a scan again to be sure that the virus has been totally removed.

4) If the anti-virus program can only detect the viruses but won’t be able to remove them, try downloading a different program using a non-infected computer.

5) You can also make a backup of all data you can’t afford to lose then reinstall the whole operating system.

6) Run a registry cleaner afterwards.

Take note of the provided free virus fix on computers. Nevertheless, as the saying goes, prevention is still better than cure. So take note of a few precautions to make sure that you can never have headaches fixing your computer later. After installing your computer’s operating system, install reliable anti-virus software abruptly. Then make sure that the anti virus is updated, and perform a scan on a daily basis. For every removable medium you connect to your computer, never regret to perform a scan.

When an email from an unknown sender is received, do not open it. That may contain viruses that will automatically scatter on your system as soon as you open or download the attachments, if there’s any. Download firewall programs that can help secure your computer. Do regular backups of your data, in case you might encounter systems errors due to virus infections. Moreover, secure your local area connection. Check other workstations connected and make sure that nobody is infected. Be extra careful in downloading any software or files from the internet. But at times when you won’t be able to escape, just remember the free virus fix on computers cited above.
